Carion Fenn Foundation would like to invite you to join us in our Flag Raising Ceremony on November 1st, 2023, at 11:00 AM, Pickering City Hall, One The Esplanade, Pickering ON L1V 6K7, Canada in recognition of those impacted by Mental Health worldwide. November is Mental Health Awareness Month in the City of Pickering, as declared by Mayor Kevin Ashe and Council. We hope you will join us in showing support and help us removed the stigma surrounding Mental Health. Funded by the Pickering Mayor’s Gala.

1 in 3 Canadians are affected by Mental Health Disorders. 970 million people globally are dealing with Mental Health Disorders, and approximately 17% of these individuals are children. 1 in 4 people will be affected by a mental illness at some point in their lives according to the WHO. In support with the City of Pickering Mayor Kevin Ashe, Council, Residents, Karen O'Brien, Canadians, and our Global Friends we stand together to support each other because Together We Are Stronger®. Our flag will be flown, and we would be honoured to have you join us in our Mental Health Flag Raising.
During the month of November 2023, in addition to hosting our Flag Raising, we are also hosting a Mental Health Chat on November 9, 16 & 30, 2023 focusing on Youth Mental Health between the ages of 13 to 30 years old, available to youths & members of the public who would like to know more about how to support youths: November 9, 2023 Emotional, Physical & Financial Health; November 16, 2023, Selfcare, Selflove & Self-Awareness; and November 30, 2023 Stress & Resiliency. We are also hosting a Mental Health Day Breakfast on November 28, 2023, at Queens Park with the MPPs and Sponsored by Todd J. McCarthy, MPP Durham to talk about Mental Health, the work we are all doing and the support that is needed to encourage more funding to our community. These programs are funded by the Pickering Mayor’s Gala.
