Rare Disease Day is on the last day in February to increase awareness for Rare diseases to help improved access to treatment and care for individuals with Rare Diseases and their loved ones. Each year we run our Rare Disease Expo to educate, support and provide Resources available.
Syringomyelia Awareness Month is May, a time to educate the public that syringomyelia is a disorder in which a fluid-filled cyst (syrinx) forms within the spinal cord.
Mental Health week was established to educate and increase awareness about mental health. We run our Mental Health Symposium and our Resilience Programs.
Each year, during the last week in May, we celebrate the contributions of persons with a disabilities and highlight the work done to removed barriers and to foster disability inclusion in Canada. We rune our Durham Accessibility Conference.

October 10 is Durham Mental Health Day, we go to the different Cities and Town's across Durham Region and speak with Council about Mental Health, what we are doing to help and the importance of having support in place. We have our Mental Health Forum each year and we increase awareness around the importance of Mental Health and support.
