AUTHOR OF CULTIVATE COMPASSION: SELF KINDNESS COUNTS.
As a Registered Nurse, Maria brings experience in healthcare delivery and end-of-life family caregiving. The spring of 2020 provided an unanticipated silver lining to COVID 19 – the gift of dedicated time to make this qualitative research project ‘Cultivate Compassion: Self Kindness Counts’ a reality. Her debut work explores how front-line caregivers remain resilient to adversity. Stories from the field of caregiving uncover life hacks to boost compassion and resiliency for both professional and family caregivers. Resiliency is based on compassion not only for ourselves but also for others. We invite you to collectively pause to explore the strengths and resources that we already possess and provide inspiration to integrate a host of new wellness strategies. When not immersed in thoughtful ventures or wanderlust, Maria can be found balancing on her yoga mat or blending green juice.
